Health Bloom Organization has done it again! Our programs and initiatives are always geared towards the SDG 3. This time around, the team took a look at the pressing health issue in Ghana leading to the majority of death cases. This brought about the KIDNEY HEALTH TALK AND BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING.

Advocacy on health we always say, is a pivotal step in enhancing the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals. As many lives get to be fed with information about health, more lives in the long run, are being impacted to change their lifestyles and take charge of their health. Looking at the concerns that came with dialysis treatment, the team stood up to play a role in advocacy.

We decided to go the extra mile by taking a bold step to organize a FREE RENAL FUNCTION TEST for some selected people after the blood pressure screening. Stages of kidney disease when left unattended to or untreated, can lead to kidney failure hereby affecting the condition of the individual financially, mentally and socially. Thus, we gave the chance to some individuals to screen their kidneys.

The organization collaborated with SONOTECH MEDICAL AND DIAGNOSTICS CENTER and RAND MEDICAL IMAGING AND HEALTH SYSTEMS to provide free consultation services after the renal function test. Our beneficiaries were 293 people for the health talk, 30 people had their blood pressure screened and 6 people underwent the free renal function test from Presbyterian church of Ghana, Emmanuel Congregation.
